The top of this mountain, which is the result of former central volcano where lava domes, some evident we can enjoy wonderful views of the entire island. It is here that we find the highest peak on the island, the Pico Timão, about 400 meters of altitude.

Former hospital ship, built in the Shipyards of Viana do Castelo in 1955. It currently belongs to the Gil Eanes Foundation, and has been open to the public since 1998. Here you can visit the bridge, the kitchen, the engine room, the medical office, the radiology office, the operating room, several cabins and some temporary exhibition rooms.
