This Natural Park is characterised by the existence of a cordon of dunes and beaches that protects a lagoon area, whose average depth is 2 metres. Part of this is permanently submerged, while another part emerges during low tide. The surface of the Park extends from the Ancão Beach to Manta Rota and includes wide variety of habitats, including barrier islands, salt marshes, sand bars and vasa, dunes, salt marshes, freshwater and brackish ponds, waterways, forests and agricultural areas, which refers to a wide variety of flora and fauna.

The rocks of the Coastline from Oporto are the oldest which outcrop in Portugal and constitute a geological heritage of high scientific interest-didactic, the Metamorphic Complex of Foz do Douro, classified as Municipal Natural Heritage. In April 2005 was created a thematic route for dissemination of this designated heritage by "Geological Tour of Foz do Douro", signaled with nine panels of information addressed to the general public. A wide, easily accessible beach, its wide stretch of sand is sheltered from the strong north winds and ends on a cliff to the south. Quite attended by surfers. On the surrounding cliffs there are pedestrian trails with wonderful landscapes. It has a first aid post, high quality restaurants, several terraces with many youngters and lively evenings.

Enormous, with a vast sandy area stretching from Sines to Tróia, it's only not completely wild because during the summer season it has a lifeguard and a bar operating every day. It also offers sunshade and deckchair rentals and is perfect for sport fishing enthusiasts. In terms of landscape, it's surrounded by magnificent dunes and a pine forest. There's also a small picnic area with refreshing shade, perfect for leisurely family lunches. Located halfway between Grândola and Santiago do Cacém, its main drawback is the access, much of it via dirt roads.

The Macrobiotic Centre of Braga's restaurant, an institution dedicated to personal development, proposes balanced menus made with ingredients of plant origin with quality and mostly come from organic farming. In addition to the restaurant, you can visit the grocery store and organic vegetables, cosmetics and a bookstore. The River House restaurant, in Guimarães, began as a mill for the tasco, where they served wine from the region. In 2013 has become a modern, spacious and cozy wine cellar, compulsory passage for snacking. It is also Organic grocery, where bread and bread. Reguengo do Fetal is located north of Fátima and is extremely well-known among climbers. With typical regional architecture, the main points of interest are the parish church (a Property of Public Interest), built in the 16th century with alterations in the 18th century, the chapels of Our Lady of Fetal and Saint Matthew, the wayside cross, and the Eay of the Cross. In October, the pilgrimage maintains the old tradition of the night procession illuminated by thousands of lanterns made from snail shells.
