Located in Ponta dos Rosais lighthouse, in the extreme northwest of the island. From this point we can get beautiful views of the ocean, the island of Faial and Pico Island on the horizon. The set of this tip, of the islets and cliffs around is classified as a site of Community interest.

Parish Church of longitudinal plant consisting of three aisles and a chancel. Due to various reforms over the years, presents features of Mannerist and Baroque architecture, Manueline. In the chancel, the Baroque altarpiece and some ceiling coffers, representing scenes from the Passion of Christ.

Luxury palace built at the beginning of the 19th century, in French style, with a large and romantic garden. Inside, the richly furnished rooms and paintings by António Ramalho are highlighted, as well as interpretations of classic canvases from the Louvre Museum's collections by painter Dordio Gomes.

Monument inaugurated on July 3, 2005, on the day commemorating the 166th anniversary of Povoação becoming a municipality. It represents the place where the first settlers of São Miguel Island docked. It consists of small, high-relief images of prominent figures from that time.

This historic courtyard owes its name to the group of buildings surrounding it, where the Tribunal of the Holy Office operated from 1566 until its closure in 1821. It also formed part of the original College of Arts and currently houses the Center for Visual Arts.

The construction of these steps date from 1760, although in 1884 if dislodged the Step of the Rua Dom Afonso Henriques. Both have the form of oratory Chapel. The placement of tiles is recent; 20TH century (1998). The passage happens always in the procession of the Holy week.

This is a Roman monolithic milestone from Emperor Cláudio, which was adapted to a pillory. It has arounf 2.15 metres high and 54 cm. diameter. In Viana do Castelo district it is the second milestone to be adapted to a pillory during the 17th century, as far as it is known.

This granite monolith with large dimensions has a round form. Attached to one of its sides there are some stairs which give access to the top of the rock. On its top there is a minuscule construction resemble to a temple. This construction is dated from the Iron Age period.
