A very old village that has several vestiges of megalithic monuments. A special not to the menhir "Orca dos Juncais" (National Monument), with paintings of hunters, deers and dogs. The Mother Church and the chapel of Saint Eufémia are also worth a visit.

Casa Roque Gameiro, built between 1898 and 1901, is currently open to the public and you can visit some of the rooms in the house, profusely decorated with tiles by Bordalo Pinheiro, as well as temporary exhibitions on the two lower floors.

In this 16th century park, from the reign of Dom Fernando, there are statues, water surfaces, belvederes and several plants. The entrance costs 3.5 €, 2 € for youngsters and senior citizens. It may be visited between 9 am and 8 pm.

The tower of Lanhelas is located on the left bank of the Minho river and dates back to the 15th century. Even though it went through many changes, it still has a garden structured with boxwood hedges. It is private property and may not be visited.

An extremely beautiful house, dating back to 1780. Dona Maria considered it an outstanding building. It was adapted in oredr to house the Musical Academy of Paredes. Visits can only take place when the Academy is functioning and with previous authorization.

Water mill built in granite and glazed, two waters, in tile. Used during the winter, for milling cereals, is one of the mills that can be visited in the national day of the mills, at which point is the stage for pedagogical activities involving youngsters.

Volcanic rock formation that creates a language in basalt over the sea. If you opt for a boat ride around the grounds, you can visit the beautiful caves that exist here, as well as the lava arch suspended above the sea.

Urban beach by the mouth of the Douro River and the São João Baptista fort. This coarse sand beach is the favourite of many young people who like to visit the Ourigo’s esplanade, bar and restaurant. The nights are also lively at this place.

Artist's House was once the home of largest souto da Vila de GOIs. The ancient Mayan farm solar was deep object recovery works and transformed into a modern Auditorium. The shops at the ground floor give the space art galleries today. Already the top-floor rooms, serve as temporary residence of artists. The attic was adapted and works as artistic atelier.
