The project of an artificial tropical forest began in 1910. The Greenhouse opened in 1930 and has four spaces: three greenhouses and a walking area by the lake. It has vast tropical flora, with exotic species from the five continents. The decorative ambience has small grottos, statues, staircases and fountains. A very romantic place that deserves a visit.

With a panoramic view is exceptionally located, Quinta do Marvão is situated in the Natural Park and ecological reserve, 3 km from the medieval village of Marvão. The name of this manor house derives from the fact that Dom Miguel spent the night here before the Battle of Almoster. This manor house is notable for its ceilings painted with royal coats of arms, the chapel-oratory with a Baroque façade, and the porch leading to the house. The lower floor was occupied by services, while the upper floor housed the residence.

This monument is intended to evoke the 30 years of Democratic Local authorities, especially in the Centre, a parallelepiped greater than symbolizes the 25 April. At the top, emerges an ear of wheat symbolizing the struggle of the people for better socio-economic conditions. Religious monument, small but of great simplicity. In the exterior facade can still see the tiled shot, despite its state of conservation. It consists of nave and chancel. Acquired by Dona Antónia Adelaide Ferreira in 1877, this farm was a project conceived from scratch, created on previously uncultivated land. The vineyards cover more than 85 hectares of the property and are planted in soils of different geological nature: schist, granite and alluvial. This diversity, unusual in the Douro region, contributes to the complexity of its magnificent wines.
