Church of a single nave and rectangular plant. The chancel has 18th century tiles, gilt and Arc de Triomphe. The chapel of SR. Dos Passos and the Igreja da Misericórdia are linked together and integrate the Museum of sacred art and archaeology of the Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Vila Alva.

A small village located on the slopes of Cabeço de Monsanto, at an altitude of 758 meters, known as "the most Portuguese village in Portugal." Wild nature and human construction combine in a harmonious combination, resembling, from a distance, a stone fortress. The houses are "invaded" by enormous granite boulders that serve as floors, walls, and ceilings. A settlement of military origins, it was here that, according to legend, Viriato withstood a seven-year siege. Monsanto Castle was recaptured from the Arabs.

In this building works, presently, the Museu de Artes Decorativas (Decorative Arts Museum). Also known as the Fundação Ricardo do Espírito Santo Silva (Ricardo do Espírito Santo Silva Foundation), this museum was created in 1953. Here is a magnificent collection of furniture and Portuguese decorative arts from the XVII and XVIII centuries. It is a characteristic exemplar of portuguese XVII century architecture, with posterior interventions, from which the north façade stands out.

The Green Park, located in Fontainhas, is a green space with beautiful lawns, ideal to enjoy your holidays or weekends away from the hustle of big cities. Enjoy to play with the kids, catch the afternoon sun or prepare meals outdoors, socialising with friends. Entirely rebuilt from the original structure of a 19th-century building stands in the Centre of beautiful and romantic gardens. Space resulting from the recovery of two 16th century farms with a total area of about 25 hectares, being the third largest green space in the capital. Here you can walk through paths where you'll see canals of water, a Lake, playgrounds, a small stage, exhibition area, a bar and a restaurant.

Medieval castle with a significant keep. Noteworthy in this fortification is the gate flanked by towers and a horseshoe arch made of local marble. The Torre da Cadeia and Porta Legal feature remains of Moorish architecture and Gothic tombstones commemorating the work. Located overlooking the village, from here, guests can enjoy beautiful views of the region.

Hidden beach at the bottom of cliffs, whose access is possible only by dirt tracks, without indications. From this beach, the cliffs are no longer in light shades, such as those that characterize much of the Algarve coast, to become dark. There are parts of the beach that disappear when the tide comes in. As the sea is wavy, it is customary to see if surfers around here.

For those coming from the west, this is the last beach, overlooking the Spanish town of Ayamonte. Despite its popularity, it offers a peaceful stay and is also sought after by amateur fishermen. Here you can enjoy the sea, the Guadiana River, or stroll through the National Forest of the Coastal Dunes. The sand is extensive and without obstacles.

The Widow's House restaurant-Winebar, in Penafiel, a project of three partners in the region, does not live only from wine. Despite the immense variety of wines by the glass, snacks are also recovered in the House, with values between three and ten euros. Here reigns the regional ham, sausage, cheeses, meat puffs and the cod fritters.
