As Caves do Casalinho, fundadas em 1944, são uma das mais antigas empresas vinícolas sediadas na região dos Vinhos Verdes. Aqui é possível observar a adega antiga (com lagares primitivos, cascos e prensas tradicionais). O território das caves estende-se por cerca de 30 hectares vinhedos, situados a meia encosta do vale do rio Vizela, de inclinação suave e boa exposição solar.

Em Portugal, os embutidos são conhecidos desde o século XVI, em peças de mobiliário indo-português, sobretudo "contadores". O artesão serve-se de um desenho e fura-o; esvazia os espaços embutindo as minúsculas peças que foram recortadas. Os materiais usados são: pau-roxo, pau amarelo, pau-santo, ébano, mogno, pau-rosa, buxo, madrepérola e o marfim.

Na zona de Aveiro e Águeda faz-se uma louça muito especial - em grés salgado -, que permite obter um vidrado de boa qualidade, apenas com uma única cozedura. É fabricada segundo os métodos tradicionais e pintada à mão com singelos desenhos a azul. Destaca-se também, nesta região, a faiança do Outeiro, com motivos florais e aves exóticas a verde e negro.
