Is situated in the castle of Castelo de Vide, in the section to the East, double portal that connects to a Plaza de armas.

On the north side of the village, the entrance was through this door. The inscription on the tombstone that at the top of the monument attests and glorifies the election of Nossa Senhora da Conceição as the patron saint of Portugal. Today it is one of the entrances to the fence of the Convent des Augustins, given the displacement of this door for traffic requirements.

Door belonging to Monsanto's Castle, with a straight lintel on the inner side and Arch on the outer side. Presents a guardhouse located near, of square plan and partly without roofing, with door lintel rectum.

17th century doors, designed by Jerónimo Velho de Azevedo, of monumental size. Laterally, they are protected by the so-called Casas de Guarda (Guard Houses).

These gates represent the main entrance to Ponta Delgada and are the true landmark of the city. Their three imposing arches, built in the 18th century, open up to tourists everything that Ponta Delgada has to offer. Next to the City Gates stands the statue of Gonçalo Velho Cabral and the old buildings of the square bearing the navigator's name.
