Downstream from Vila Velha de Ródão, the Portas de Ródão (Ródão Gates) is an imposing geological formation where the Tagus River breaks between two steep walls (approximately 170 meters high) into a deep lake, carved by a supposed ancient waterfall that gradually disappeared until the river reached the lake's level. Besides being home to the largest colony of griffon vultures in the country, it is a privileged location for fauna and avifauna research, where 116 bird species can be observed, many of them considered endangered and some rare.

Located between the rocks, these pools are the perfect place to relax, swim and sunbathe. They are formed from volcanic rocks that gave them peculiar shapes. It has 3800 m2 of swimming area and 3200 m2 of solarium area, open all year round and with entrance fee.

A modern marina with easy access and located on the Aveiro estuary. It has average capacity but is almost always crowded in the summer.

It has floating fingers and can welcome up to 200 boats from 6 to 15 metres, and a 120 m long dock, for service and recreational boats. It has a sailing school and small bars and restaurants.
