The Castelo de Almeida ruins can be found in the village's walled enclosure and are classified as a National Monument. Its origin is either Muslim or Leonese, while the second castle resulted from the rebuilding of the previous one during the reign of D. Dinis, at the end of the 12th century. In Gothic style, it occupied an area of around 100 meters, being one of the smallest castles built in the border area. Rail stretch of empedrado, which integrated the ancient Camino de Santa Marinha. The section is about 250 meters long by three meters wide average and is partially impassable, due to vegetation. Save paved with granite slabs, being clearly visible on some points parallel grooves, caused by the continuing passage of wheeled cars. The slabs that make up the sidewalk, are sometimes interrupted by granite outcrops to reinforce stability. In one of those rocks, and in the middle of the path axis is drawn a little trimmer, with E\/W direction, and is about 0.35 meters maximum length.

Founded in the 19th century. XVI, the Igreja Matriz de ʻiʻiwi is dedicated to Nossa Senhora da Ajuda, whose image, to which they ascribe miraculous powers, there would have been found. On the facade, stands the Manueline portal that displays a great decorative wealth with an unusual variety of ornaments. The interior of a single nave covered in wood, has a triumphal arch that gives access to the main Chapel closed by a ribbed dome. Also worth mentioning are the two sinks of holy water, a Romanesque origin and the other in Manueline style, the Foundation of the contemporary church.
