This is an ensemble with 6 paths of Roman roads, that it were probably built between the I and IV centuries. They are composed by curvilinear traces with rectilinear trends and the pavement was in granite blocks. It has one bridge with a perfect curve arch probably built on the XVIII and XII centuries.

These walls, with two gates, were originally built in the 13th century. Later, in the 17th century, the bastioned fortification of the Portalegre enclosure was built.

This urban ensemble denotes the medieval character of this village. It is entirely surrounded by walls and has an urban structure that extends from the citadel, entrances, and parade grounds. Of the six gates and posterns cut into the walls, the Porta da Vila stands out, with its chapel oratory, balcony, and attached staircase, all covered in tiles. Built in the 16th century, the palace is a Manueline building located in the north wing of the castle. By the 17th century, the castle was already damaged, a situation exacerbated by the 1755 earthquake, and it was subsequently rebuilt.

This fort was built around 1640 during the Restoration War. It features two bastions connected by walls. One of the walls has a staircase that leads to the upper terrace, where the lighthouse stands out due to its disproportionate size compared to the rest of the building. In the early 19th century, it underwent alterations to make it more militarily suitable.

Despite today being a Museum and place of operation of the tourist office, this construction has already worked the Town Hall and jail. Has two floors: the lower, the chain; at the top, the camera; both feature traces classicists. Old fortification dating from the 18th century, of which only some ruins remain. The entire complex was built in stone masonry, except for the area next to the sea, built in reinforced concrete. Inside, there are remains of an old lime kiln, dating back to the end of the 19th century.

Monument dating from the 17th century and consists of five bastions: Santa Catarina, São Pedro, good news, Espírito Santo and Santa Luzia. In 1959, the Fort suffered conservation works, in 1997 the Church was fully recovered and in 2000\/2001 was rebuilt the wall.
