Downstream from Vila Velha de Ródão, the Portas de Ródão (Ródão Gates) is an imposing geological formation where the Tagus River breaks between two steep walls (approximately 170 meters high) into a deep lake, carved by a supposed ancient waterfall that gradually disappeared until the river reached the lake's level. Besides being home to the largest colony of griffon vultures in the country, it is a privileged location for fauna and avifauna research, where 116 bird species can be observed, many of them considered endangered and some rare.

A walking trail approximately eight kilometers long, beginning and ending at the Casa de Artes e Cultura do Tejo. You'll pass through the Serra das Talhadas, visiting several military monuments, the Portas de Rodão, and the Conhal (a monumental group of quartzite blocks).

A mountain range with a maximum altitude of 1,200 meters, located in the extension of the Montesinho mountain range. It's a good option for paragliders and hang gliders.

A hiking trail of approximately 1.8 kilometers, starting in Prazeres and ending in Paul do Mar. The descent follows the coast, supported by agricultural stone walls, offering magnificent panoramic views.

A 5-kilometer walking trail, which takes 3 to 4 hours, follows Levada do Risco, at an altitude of about 1,000 meters, passing the magnificent Lagoa das 25 Fontes.

Wooden walkways run along the right bank of the Ribeira de Quelhas, near the village of Coentral. The trail has sections of varying difficulty and can be hiked year-round, but is recommended during fall or winter.

A hiking trail that leads hikers to Santo António da Neve, named after the former location where snow was collected to supply the Lisbon Court. The views are breathtaking, encompassing not only National Monuments but also the Atlantic Ocean and the Serra da Estrela mountains.

An island in the middle of the Douro River, with boat transportation during the summer. This uniquely beautiful space features a picnic area, grassy areas, and areas covered with medium-sized trees. It also has a small docking pier.

Celorico de Basto Station is the central hub of the Tâmega Line Ecopista. Here, you can visit an interpretive center and learn about the history of the Tâmega Line. Built on the canal of the decommissioned railway line, it is intended for pedestrians and cyclists.

This educational center aims to educate visitors about the birdlife of the municipality's various habitats, with a special focus on steppe birds. To this end, it organizes activities and environmental walks. By appointment, you can birdwatch, go on bike rides, or even watch scientific fieldwork.
