A museum located in the Solar da Ponte (Bridge Manor), an 18th century building, that exhibits vestiges of the "castreja" culture (of the Iberians and the Celts), a culture that only eexisted in the northwest of the peninsula. It used to be the house of the family of Francisco Morais Sarmento and now belongs to the Martins Sarmento Society.

Fortress built in the XVII century to protect the city against pirates’ attacks, being enlarged in the XVIII century. It was used with military ends until 1992, year in which it was given to the Regional Government, which turned it into a cultural space, so that now is the Contemporary Art Museum.

The church was founded in 1719 and built, as it is now, in 1753 by Inácio de Oliveira Bernardes. The façade is ended with two strong towers. The inside, lined with rich materials, has the tomb of the queen Dona Mariana Vitória, sculpted by Machado de Castro, classified as National monument.

In the Solar building, you can view themed exhibitions about Port Wine, while the space where the old cooperage once stood now houses an auditorium. They organize technical tastings of Port and Douro Wine, as well as "Portos de Honra", lunches, and dinners.

A very rocky beach separated by a small inlet that can be crossed on foot at low tide. The existing restaurants serve typical dishes at high prices. It used to be the private property of the Counts of Castro Guimarães, whose palace now functions as a museum, with direct access to the sand.

Follow through the Miguel Bombarda Street and notice the Misericórdia Church, built on an ancient synagogue. Tourém is one of the most non-typical borderline areas in Portugal. A village of old houses and narrow dirt roads, plus a small bridge on the Tourém - Selas river dam, that separates Portugal and Spain. Sometimes the flocks go eat on any side of the border and force the cars to stop for a while.

A 37 metres long and 18.50 metres wide ring. Tar pavement with natural and artificial light. Futsal and tennis are practised. There are balnearies and a small lateral row of seats. Accessibble to the handicapped.

Wide green space that has an aquaculture station for raising trout that are later transferred to many of São Miguel's lakes and streams. In this pleasant park it is possible to see deer, peacocks and pheasants.
