Founded in 1984, the museum is composed of the Archaeology and History Section, Naval Section, Water Section, Capuchos Convent, Medieval/Modern Section and Arcaheological Site of Almaraz.

Built in 1663 at the site where, according to the legend of the miracle of Santarem, dwelt the woman who stole the consecrated host, presents a sober interior and of reduced dimensions.

This extensive site is the most important centre of São Pedro do Sul. Houses the parish church and the chapel of mercy, as well as a taxi stand and some commerce.

This street, dated from 1844, was very hard to build because of the granite existent there. It connects the Cordoaria Garden with the Cais de Massarelos, going through the picturesque Largo do Viriato. In the middle of the way you may enjoy the beautiful view over the Douro River.

Water fall with ten meters high, located in an area with grottos, stalactites and stalagmites. The access is done going up the river until the point where it is no longer navigable and, from then on, by road to São Domingos de Asseca. This area is characterized by its willows and cane-plantations.

Between Benafim and Salir, right in the ravines of the Algarve, Rocha da Pena is a place with a bleak landscape in a large plateau, about 2 km wide and almost 500 metres high. Of speological interest due to th existence of several caves, the Site is also extremely rich in terms of its fauna (namely, for their rarity, the buzzard and the Bonelli's eagle) and its flora (wild rose, wild orchid and marsh tea). This trail crosses the council of Montalegre and boirders the Spainish Baltar and Oimbra. It is 41.6 km long and starts at Oimbra. It crosses Montalegre and ends in Baltar. Along the way thre are old shepherds' paths and rural areas.

Small pedestrian path route, signaled, with home in the village of Alfaião, near the sculpture of tribute to emigrants. It passes next to the Church of Saint Martin, a picnic Park and down to the river. It is advisable to its realization in the spring.
