Loulé was taken from the moors by D. Paio Peres Correia in 1249. In 1268, D. Afonso III gave it its charter. This fort was built during the reign of D. João II and restored at the end of the 18th century. Currently it has the shape of a four beaked star and is in ruins.

The tavern of the Shah is a reference in the region, a reference point for tasting products of the region. Stands out the tiles of veal and pork noissetes au gratin with mozzarella. The terrace has a privileged view of the Tagus River, with the bridge 25 April and the Cristo-Rei as a backdrop.

Spacious and well decorated to present an original menu with dishes of different cuisines, Portuguese and French. Good wine cellar, with emphasis on the wines of Minho, Douro and Alentejo. Be sure to taste the snails au gratin, rice monkfish with prawns and green pepper turnedó.

A restaurant located in the historic area of Torres Vedras, in an old cellar, resulting in rustic and welcoming looks. The cuisine is widely varied, from Italian dishes, with 156 pizza varieties, to typical Portuguese dishes. A special note to the fondue and to the cod au gratin.

Of the original castle, built by D. Dinis in 1306, only two gates and some sections of the medieval wall remain. Examples of the 17th-century fortification include the Salvaterra Gate, some curtain walls, and bastions. The tower, a contemporary of D. Pedro I and D. Fernando, is another surviving element of the fortress.

Mata Nacional de Leiria or Pinhal de Leiria is one of the largest Portuguese forests sent to the plant of D. Afonso III, whose development and territorial planning, due to D. Dinis.

This Palace was founded by D. Pedro I, it was the Royal Palace for D. Duarte and it is said that Pedro and Inês de Castro lived there. Its numerous windows and doors with Manueline decoration stand out.
