Between São Torpes and Burgau (Alentejo Coast and Western Algarve), the Southwest Alentejo and Vicentine Coast Natural Park encompasses the municipalities of Sines, Odemira, Aljezur, and Vila do Bispo, as well as a strip of sea approximately 2 kilometers long-running parallel to the coast. Expressions such as "sandy beaches," "rocky coastline," "cliffs and islets," and "veins of water flowing into the sea" used in the same sentence are synonymous with the Vicentine Coast and Southwest Alentejo.

An island off the Alentejo coast, near the town of Porto Covo. It is part of the Southwest Alentejo and Vicentine Coast Natural Park. The island houses a fort built by Philip III in 1603.

It was here that, at the age of 11 or 12, Vasco da Gama, along with three of his brothers, received his prima tonsure and became a member of the Order of Santiago. In the 18th century, the medieval church, already too small for the number of believers who wanted to attend Mass, required extensive remodeling, giving it its current appearance, typical of the Joanine Baroque.

Modern infrastructure located in the historic area of ​​Sines. It features a library and exhibition center. It presents various theater plays and art shows daily.

This 16th-century chapel preserves the Manueline portal and inscribed tombstones on its main façade. On both sides are buttresses, topped by conical pinnacles, supporting the coffered vault covering the chapel's single nave. The walls are covered in 18th-century tiles. It has a single nave and a chancel with star-shaped vaults supported by corbels, Manueline decorative elements on the clasps, vault-flush corbels, and also on the portal.

A medieval castle, it has undergone several restorations over the centuries. All that remains of the original castle are the battlemented walls flanked by thick masonry turrets, the keep with twin windows, and the Alcaide-Mor Palace. On the ceiling of the fortress's armory, you can see interesting paintings of armor, war trophies, and the royal shield of King João V. Visigothic architectural elements are visible on the walls.

A very touristy, somewhat rocky beach, located just beyond Porto Covo and directly across from the island that gives it its name. There are several restaurants serving local snacks.

A small marina with limited capacity. Located in a densely industrialized area, it has good access. Fifty meters away, there is a small, modern marina exclusively for sailboats.

A very beautiful beach, located in front of the castle where Vasco da Gama was born and next to the fishing and recreational port. A young crowd and nightlife are also available. A good-quality restaurant.

A beach dotted with rocks, it's very popular in the summer due to its location, beauty, and temperatures. It offers volleyball and good surfing conditions. It has a beach bar.
