Founded in the 16th century by Baltasar de Andrade, this was one of the richest convents in the city. The convent of Santa Clara stands out thanks to its symmetric facade, divided in three and the portico has an image of the Patron Saint. It has a spacious courtyard and an impressive two-storey cloister. Currently, the City Hall is here and a part of the building houses the Municipal Archive.

In this House, dating from the 18TH century and the family Abreu Abranches, stand out from the typical rectangular Windows and copings, balustrade,. Still has a chapel in honor of our Lady of the Rosary, which, despite having been built in the same century, has undergone changes in the 19th century. Founded in 1876, the museum is housed in the former convent of Santo André and features a Natural History section, begun in the 19th century, which includes specimens of Azorean flora and fauna. Here you can appreciate collections of painting, sculpture, sacred art, tiles and goldsmithing that make up the Art section, the regional ethnography section, and even a toy collection.

Located at the former Colégio da Sapiência, this museum opened its doors in 2000. Here you may enjoy a place equipped with show-window destined to shelter temporary exhibitions and a room where works of art belonging to the house collection are kept. You may also visit the chapel and a turret which offers a beautiful panoramic view over the city.

Located in Praça Carlos Alberto, one of the most emblematic areas of the port, the historic Café Luso was recently remodeled and is now a café, restaurant and Brewery, revealing himself a place of compulsory passage of night and day portuenses. This 18th-century building was restored by the City Hall when it was in danger of collapsing, to house the ancient numismatic and archaeological collections of Father João Parente. Here you will find one of the largest numismatic collections, as well as other types of archaeological artifacts also collected by Father Parente. This space also has an educational service, complemented by an area for temporary exhibitions.

In the restaurant Aunt Bé, in Almada, the decoration demonstrates African origins, however, on those roots restaurant are only visible in two dishes: at cachupa and muamba, after all the most popular dishes.
