Convento de Santa Clara

Founded in the 16th century by the Canon Master School of Collegiate Church of Nossa Senhora da Oliveira, Baltasar de Andrade, this was one of the richest convents in the city. The convent of Santa Clara stresses the facade and symmetric race, divided into three bodies, presenting the gantry an image of the Patron Saint. It has a spacious courtyard and an impressive two-storey cloister. Currently, you are here installed the Câmara Municipal de Guimarães and some compartments of the conventual House set the Hall of records.
