This church is also known as São Luís Church, together with the monastery it was founded in 1596 by Luís de Figueiredo Falcão and used to belong to the Clarisse orders. It has some elements from the sixteen hundreds and from the eighteen hundreds. From the first period, it stands out the only nave, the ceiling and the main chapel coverage; from the second period stands out the doorway, the windows and the main elevation.

This street that was, for a long time, the goldsmith street, was built in the XVI century, by order of the King Dom Manuel I. Nowadays this street is worthy of a visit not because of the goldsmith's shops windows but because of the buildings that keep the characteristics of other times, namely the iron balconies. It is on this street that you’ll find the Misericóridia Church, dated from the XVI century and rebuilt from 1748 on, according to Nicolau Nasoni’s proposal.

The chapel was built in the 16th century and founded by Aires Quental. Consists of the nave, porch, semicircular apse and sacristy. Inside stands the tiled flooring type "enxaquetado" and "Mudejar", 16TH century, located in front of the altar. The default next to the Chapel is a monument commemorating the passage of Portuguese troops on their way to the battle of Aljubarrota. The default marks the junction, at that location, the armies of John I and the Constable, on the day of Saint Lawrence.

Set in the Castle Keep, it presents an important collection of great historical value that includes pieces of light weapons, from the 12th century to the First World War. Most of the original pieces were donated by inhabitants, who participated in the African Campaigns and in World War I. This museum, located from its origins in the Convent of Jesus in Setúbal, features about 500 years of history and art, namely religious art (painting, sculpture, jewelry, from the 15th to the 19th centuries) and the "Primitivos de Setúbal" (The Primitives of Setúbal), that is, the Church of Jesus' retable, of about 1520-30, fourteen panels of oil painting on wood by the painter of the king Dom Manuel I, Jorge Afonso.
