A long pedestrian trail, 13.5 km long, that lasts about five hours. During the walk, one passes by places where the milho-miúdo (a kind of corn), the main ingredient of the typical and exquiste "papas de coura", is sown. Enjoy the natural beauty and, from the Travanca landmark, at an altitude of 701 metres, the astounding landscape.

Conceived by entrepreneur João D’Oliva Monteiro and built by Korrodi architects, the Alcobaça Cinema-Theatre was inaugurated in 1944, and has since been a landmark not only in the cultural field but also in architecture. Currently, it has a main hall with a capacity of 315 people and an auditorium with 64 seats. It is frequently the venue for shows from different cultural areas.

From the convent set of Our Lady of the Conception, you have now ascended to the church, which is believed to have been rebuilt in the 18th century. Building dating from the 18th century, the present main ground floor facade arches of Ashlar and, upstairs, tile flooring in the 19th century. At the top, are the Royal Arms and the middle of the building, rises the clock tower. This construction marks the urban reform held by the Corregidor and purveyor of the District of Porto, Francisco de Almada e Mendonça.

This church belongs to the sanctuary with the same name. The church which nowadays is visible on this avenue replaced a chapel constructed in 1737. Among many features, it is worthy to mention the glazed tiles, from the end of the 18th century, decorating the walls; the two marble altars in several shades, the connection between the nave until the main chapel, and the altarpiece.

This 16th-century chapel was built on the site where, according to tradition, Friar Rodrigo and Friar Romano arrived in the 12th century, bringing the image of Our Lady of Nazaré from Mérida. Notable features of this rural chapel include the altarpiece of the main altar, two panels with 16th-century paintings, and remnants of 17th-century tiles.

In the heart of the town, in a large square, stands this imposing medieval castle, with a quadrangular plan and protected by cylindrical cubes, crowned with battlements, Gothic portals and a tall square keep. This, around 44 meters high, has a hall with a barrel-vaulted ceiling. At the entrance to the fortress, an armored marble tombstone inscribes the record of the castle's foundation, in 1359, by King Pedro I. At that time it was constituted as a defensive articulation with Estremoz, Fronteira, Évora Monte, Avis, Alter Pedroso, Marvão and Portalegre. Opened in 1962, the Pousada de Valença do Minho, of São Teotónio, stands on the highest point of the historic centre of Valencia, with privileged view of Spain. This castle is situated on a mound overlooking the Coa River and was one of the seven castles negotiated by Dinis in Treaty of Alcañices. It was also this monarch who delivered the letter of foral to the village and promoted the reconstruction of his Castle and Hadrian's wall. During the reign of Dom Manuel, are built several manor houses in the region, the wall was remodeled. Today, what remains of the medieval fence reduces to a door with torre and some scattered wall cloths.
