Building that formerly functioned as City Hall and jail, located in the historical centre of the village. Emphasis on the 19th century bell tower.

Today only traces in ruins, which are not easily detetáveis, given its integration into the urban fabric of the town. In the 16th century was built here the Chiesa Madre (mother church), with five buttresses; has Watch Tower dating back to 1798.

This monument, with a bronze bust, was open in 1926, by Tomás da Costa, in the former Cordoaria Garden, today João Chagas Garden. Here, the work of the poet called “Só” is quoted. It is made with flowers’ bouquets and a lyre allegoric to its poetical inspiration.

Located in a fishing neighborhood, it has a small sheltered harbor where, as the name suggests, fish that arrived here were once sold. Today it is a tourist beach, with a large sandy area and good quality water. The sea is calm and inviting for swimming.

Located in the Bastion of Nossa Senhora das Brotas, onde war material was manufactured and repaired here. It also functioned as a barracks and, during the 19th century, it was ruined. Today it still retains many traces of its originality: a circular wall, the crown with the royal arms on the front and the part of the mangers. Here you can have classes and even hippotherapy sessions.

This cultural cooperative was established in 1988 and today is comprised of about 300 co-workers who, since the Foundation, develop numerous cultural initiatives, without forgetting the citizenship component which closes only on artists. Is above all a space of conviviality, of meetings between friends, artists, cultural and art groups. The exhibitions are frequent.

This small gallery with about ten shops stands out for their heterogeneity. Thus, we can find here, for example, a parfumes shop and a decor shop.

The bread is not just a food, but rather something that is full of symbolism. In the case of this gastronomy Alentejo region rises in such a way as to be possible to use stale bread and hard, not to throw away. This furnace represents thus the appreciation of the community of this food, whose production varied depending on the times were more or less abundance.
