Cabeço das Cabras constitutes the final frontier between the adventurous who set out for the mountain and the more fearful who prefer the safety of the road. Located at an altitude of approximately 1,200 meters, on the western slope of Pico Mountain, it is the highest point on the island accessible by car. From here, one can see the entire island of Faial and the vast blue sea.

The burial chamber of unusual size and complex structure runner. This is the largest known tapir, polygonal Chamber with Hall, seven props and TUMULUS. Have been built between 4,000 and 3,500 BC. Here was collected abundant archaeological booty which includes: Player cards, pottery, arrowheads in Flint, copper instruments and green beads and necklaces that are in the Museum of Évora.

Castro dating from the Iron Age, located on a cliff above the Douro River, a difficult-to-access location, chosen because it has good natural defenses. The defenses were reinforced with a field of set stones, a moat, a turret and a line of walls. Here you can find rare fauna, from the Bonelli eagle, to the black stork and the Egyptian vulture.

Founded in the 16th century by Baltasar de Andrade, this was one of the richest convents in the city. The convent of Santa Clara stands out thanks to its symmetric facade, divided in three and the portico has an image of the Patron Saint. It has a spacious courtyard and an impressive two-storey cloister. Currently, the City Hall is here and a part of the building houses the Municipal Archive.

In this House, dating from the 18TH century and the family Abreu Abranches, stand out from the typical rectangular Windows and copings, balustrade,. Still has a chapel in honor of our Lady of the Rosary, which, despite having been built in the same century, has undergone changes in the 19th century. Here we highlight the hoists and the 18th century tiles.

Convent built between 1509 and 1517, leaving this time only the late Renaissance cloister with two floors and the galleries and the Doric columns. Between 1789 and 1955, had military duties and, between 1810 and 1833, worked as a military Hospital. In 1834 it was extinct, reopening only in 1993, after refurbished, passing the work here the Biblioteca Municipal António Botto.

The Millenarian Coffee was born in the year in which the city of Guimarães celebrated 1000 years of existence, in November 1953, hence the name Millennium. Is situated in the Largo do Toural, Guimarães city living room, next to the wall, where it reads: "Here was born Portugal". Coffee remains the most emblematic and historic city center, a meeting place for generations of vimaranenses.

This is a café with some decades, recently remodelled, regaining the beauty it always had. Its summer esplanades are well-attended. It is a starting point for many youngsters, who begin the night here, before going to bars. Sited at the former Praça Velasquez, Praça Dr. Francisco Sá Carneiro nowadays, on football days it is invaded by soccer lovers before and after the game.

Founded in 1876, the museum is housed in the former convent of Santo André and features a Natural History section, begun in the 19th century, which includes specimens of Azorean flora and fauna. Here you can appreciate collections of painting, sculpture, sacred art, tiles and goldsmithing that make up the Art section, the regional ethnography section, and even a toy collection.

Museum located in the Geodesic Center of Portugal, at the top of the Melriça mountain range, resulting from a partnership with the Portuguese Geographic Institute. Here you will find objects and documents on display about Picoto da Melriça and the evolution of cartography from the 19th century onwards. It also has a small store with objects related to the municipality and geodesy, a multimedia auditorium and a bar.
