The primitive nucleus is from 1582, being later transformed in palace, in the XVIII century. Today it lodges the Overseas Historic Archive.

This granite monument, shaped like a mushroom, stands over 2 meters tall. It has a peculiar morphology, resembling a mushroom, with the base narrower than the top, and the height greater. Its symbolism became an attraction, as it was customary for local girls to throw a stone at the menhir to find out if their marriage was imminent. Each lost stone represented a year of waiting. Today, it is still observed on the first Monday of Easter.

This viewpoint offers fantastic views over the center of Fonte Arcada, the Tavor river and the Vilar dam. A great way to get to know much of the region.

Small beach with many rocks, much sought after by practitioners of surfing, windsurfing and bodyboarding. It is located next to the Fort of São Julião da Barra.

This scenic spot is ideal for extreme sports, offering a wide range of views. Legend tells of a knight who, chasing the Devil incarnate as a deer, jumped over the abyss at Lugar do Salto (Place of the Leap). Upon landing, he invoked the name of Our Lady, and miraculously, horse and rider landed safely on the other bank, where the horse's hoofprints can still be seen today. In gratitude, the knight commissioned the construction of the Chapel of Our Lady of Salto. It's a place much appreciated by locals and tourists alike, due to its excellent location.

Rustic house which, despite maintaining the traits of old, allows all the comfort and modernity of today. Beautiful scenery and fresh air.

Inside, we can find the image of Nossa Senhora da Esperança, who accompanied Pedro Álvares Cabral on the journey he discovered Brazil. The 14th century image is found in a side altarpiece and is much appreciated by those who visit this temple, inaugurated in 1940. The bell tower stands out on the main façade of this church, with eclectic and revivalist marks. It is located in the historic center and offers a privileged view of Cova da Beira.

Bar located in one of the entrances to the beach, with terrace sheltered and piped music. The pizzas and bread with chorizo have much demand. Some nights are animated with Karaoke.

Pools located on Avenida Marginal, next to the marina complex, much frequented in summer. With the vast ocean as a backdrop, constitute the natural relaxer for stress of everyday life.
