Village integrated into the Alvão Natural Park, located close to the Olo River. This village, which seems to have remained indifferent to the changes that time brings, retains its beautiful rural houses, made of granite and with slate roofs. King Sancho I granted it a charter in 1196 and it was the county seat from 1514 until the 19th century. From this height, the pillory and the old Town Hall still survive. The parish of Gondar is crossed by two rivers that flow to the Tâmega river: Fornelo and Ovelha. The villag of Ovelhinha, located on the bank of one of those rivers, stands out for its river beach (beach of Ovelhinha) and by the roman bridge that crosses the river. Once the main village of the Gestaçô parish, the village currently has only about one hundred inhabitants. Its history is closely linked to the French invasions of the early 19th century, when several manors were set on fire by the invaders.

City closely linked to the Templars and the Order of Christ. When they arrived to Portugal, they spread castles across different domains, but Tomar was the center of the territory. Close to the Quartel das Esquadras, the Town Hall of Almeida operates in a historic and emblematic building, dating from the 18th century and which previously housed the Former Body of the Main Guard. With a Neoclassical style, it is the last military building built from scratch for military purposes in Almeida. On the main façade, the three arches framed by pilasters stand out, as well as the triangular pediment, which integrates the royal arms. These show the shield surrounded by acanthus and baroque shells, supported by warlike elements.

Located close to the Double Doors of Santo António, this building, with Baroque characteristics, impresses with its architecture with a long and narrow rectangular plant, distributed over two floors with transversal, vaulted barracks and a fireplace. The monument was built in the 18th century by the Count of Lippe, a German military and politician who served in the Portuguese Army, and functioned as an Infantry Barracks. Featuring a royal coat of arms on the façade, the Quartel das Esquadras is the final object of a set of infantry barracks with the same typology, usually visible in the Alentejo squares.

Set of anthropomorphic graves excavated in a granite outcrop, located near agricultural land south of the chapel of St. Alexius. The area of the head and shoulders well laid out and the funnel to the feet. Most of the graves, fourteen of the fifteen found, lies in high State of erosion. It is an isolated necropolis, where only one of the graves is whole and without cover, also with prominent shoulders curve, the arched headboard and the feet are not protruding.
