This church has a plan in Latin cross and one only nave. The carving on the main altarpieces is inserted on the National style. The chapels’ covers with coffers in painted carving were reproduced in the nave tunnel vault. It is worthy to mention the candleholders angels, in D. João V style, the polychrome wooden frontal representing “The Last Supper” and the panel, also polychrome, representing the hell on the Gospel collateral altarpiece.

A classical Italian horseshoe theater, very rare in Portugal. Inside, the wooden structure of the boxes stands out, with decorative gilded stucco applications. Eclectic decorative elements are also visible in the main hall: the walls are decorated with shell-shaped moldings and (neoclassical) festoons with stucco symbols alluding to the theater. There are also hints of Neo-Baroque and Art Nouveau styles (iron railings on the large window).

Despite being a Hermitage of medieval construction, reconstruction is expression chã, but was careful to keep the base structure. The chancel was renovated and became more narrow. The main façade, surmounted by a Latin cross, is torn by round arch portal and has small Windows on the sides. The interior features three sections defined with pillars that divide the 2 ships, one being quite narrow, unique feature in this region.

Enlarged and remodeled in the 18th century, the Romanesque elements remaining in this church point a chronology right for your edification late, which will probably occurred between the 13th and 14th centuries. Medieval construction kept the main portal primitive, consisting of two slightly broken and archivolts supported by columns with capitals, whose sculpture is well attached to the basket. This season, also preserved an arcosolium, the outside of the south wall.

Large church with main façade flanked by towers with pyramidal and prismatic spires protruding in the lateral façades little foothills. Features vaulted nave, divided into five sections by torais arches, chancel and side chapels with cannon vaults simple. Simply decorated in the facade inside, only contradicted by the exuberance of azulejar. The classification includes the carving retables and tiles from the 17th century ("carpet") q

This is the main church of Pontével, a town located about five kilometers from the municipal seat. It is believed to have been founded in 1302 and has been rebuilt several times, most recently in the 17th century. Some of its most distinctive features are the three bronze bells, with intricately worked edges, in its bell tower, as well as the late 16th-century tiles and the baptismal font.

This temple was built in the middle of the 13th century and it was influenced by the introduction of the Gothic style in the town. On the 16th and 17th century it was adapted to new artistic tastes and it underwent some transformations: it received a sculpted pulpit in stone and the walls were covered in glazed tiles. On the 18th century it was added a doorway and a tower in baroque style. It stands out the worked capitals, the main chapel vault and the 17th century glazed tiles.

On the south façade of this church are worthy of notice the modern style glazed tiles: one related to the Comércio Square before the earthquake of 1755 and the other referring to the Christian invasion of São Jorge Castle in 1147. The classification of National Monument relates to the graves, with Portuguese or Latin inscriptions distributed by the main chapel, arms of the transept and nave. Next to the Church, the belvedere offers a panoramic view of the Alfama quarter and the river.

Church built in the XVI century, considered to be one of the finest exemplars of renaissance in all Algarve. Its portal of great beauty, deeply worked, stands out at the façade. Inside, are worthy of notice the main chapel with a beautiful altar retable of golden carving and the images of Nossa Senhora da Visitação and Santa Isabel. The glazed tiles covering the walls represent the Works of Mercy and are duly captioned.

Located in the center of the parish of Vila Chã de Ourique, this monument commemorates the Battle of Ourique, fought between Afonso Henriques and the Muslims in 1139, a battle which some historians believe took place in this location. The monument, situated near the main church, was inaugurated in 1932 and is made of white marble. At the top is a statue known as "Saramaga," adorned with two handles. Below are sculpted figures of the combatants.
