Linked to the shepherds, Malhada Sorda is located on the right bank of the Côa River, in the Council of Almeida. Its origins date back to the paleolithic (as seen in the "pedra d'anta", near Carril), this village was oncee served by the roman road that linked Guarda and Salamanca. The traditional Portuguese architecture is combined with baroque buildings.
