The journey on the Teleférico da Penha begins at the aerial tramway's terminal. It offers unique views of the city until it reaches its peak, on the Alto da Penha. There, apart from the belvederes with excellent views, there are also restaurants, bars, a hotel, a camping park, a mini-golf course, a maintenance circuit, picnic areas and, for the most adventurous, caves just waiting to be discovered.

In the most eastern part of the Algarve the Cacela-a-Velha belvedere has excellent views of Montegordo and the Praia Verde and Mantarrota beaches. One can even still see the Ria Formosa from this elevated spot.

Here you can taste and buy the region's finest wines. It's located in a building dating back to 1811, which also features an exhibition room detailing the evolution of winemaking techniques and instruments, an auditorium, and a space for tastings and competitions.

Old Grand Hotel Costa, was recovered in 2000 and reopened as Douro Park Hotel. This building, dating from the early 20TH century, is involved by the magnificent panorama of the River Douro. It offers a restaurant, bar, outdoor swimming pool, meeting room and living room.
