Housing development consisting of apartments, villas and bungalows, all with a magnificent sea view and furnished with high quality and comfort, using traditional Portuguese handicraft. Located in one of the most beautiful areas of the Algarve, less than 10 minutes to the Centre of Praia do Carvoeiro.

The church is located on a plain area, next to the cemetery, in a relatively isolated place, with the large churchyard standing out. It is a regular longitudinal composite plan, in the Baroque style, dating from the 18th century (more precisely from 1742), still used today in Catholic worship.

Fortress built in the XVII century to protect the city against pirates’ attacks, being enlarged in the XVIII century. It was used with military ends until 1992, year in which it was given to the Regional Government, which turned it into a cultural space, so that now is the Contemporary Art Museum.

This temple has small dimensions and its origins are from the X century. It used to belong to Mumadona Monastery and, later on, it belonged to Guimarães College. From the original traces it is still preserved the baptismal font, a holly water font and probably the main chapel with Romanic elements.

In time, the extraction of oak bark was one of the most significant activities of the inhabitants of the parish. Currently, left traces and ruins of bark mills. Is disabled for about 50 years. The final product was used for the tanning of the skin. Part of the route of Industrial heritage of Vale do Ave.

Large wooden wheel, one of the ex-libris of Tomar. Located in Jardim do Mouchão, next to the Nabão River, this wheel has pairs of clay buckets, each with a capacity of five litres. It is a model of hydraulic wheel used in irrigating fields or for supplying water to mills.

This pillory was built in 1937 in the same place where it used to exist a former pillory. It has three square steps, a column with a square shaft and a capital with a cube where it is possible to see the Coat of Arms from Portugal, Forlgosinho, one armillary sphere and the Cross of Christ.

A large lagoon, fed by the waters of the Cértima River and located in the Águeda Valley, also known as Requeixo Lagoon. It is a vast and shallow area with abundant aquatic vegetation, notably bulrush, mainly used in basketry. Among the fish species found here are eel, barbel, and carp.

This site separates the parishes of Vilar (Moimenta da Beira) and Fonte Arcada (Sernancelhe), and allows fishing, particularly trout. The dam was created to normalize the flows of the Douro, and was recently used to capture water for public supply. It's also a great place to take a swim or have a picnic.

A very rocky beach separated by a small inlet that can be crossed on foot at low tide. The existing restaurants serve typical dishes at high prices. It used to be the private property of the Counts of Castro Guimarães, whose palace now functions as a museum, with direct access to the sand.
