The Homem River is a tributary on the right bank of the Cávado, with a length of 37 kilometers. It rises in the Serra do Gerês and it is on this river that the Vilarinho das Furnas hydroelectric plant is located.

The Ocreza River stretches for about eighty kilometers, from its source in the Serra da Gardunha to its confluence with the Tagus River. It is a periodic river with several tributaries.

The Miradouro da Boa Vista, justifies the name, since it lets you see Vila Real and the Serra do Alvão, as well as two of the most prestigious belvederes Douro: s. Domingos (Armamar) and s. Leonardo (Peso da Régua).

Interpretive circuit that is part of the Serra do Açor Protected Landscape Area. Starting and ending point is in Porto Cerejeiro. It is 1.6 km long and takes approximately 2 hours. Points of interest: Ribeira da Mata stream; view over the Mata da Margaraça forest; terraced fields; village of Relva Velha.

The Paiva River rises in the Serra da Nave, in Moimenta da Beira, and flows into the Douro, in Castelo de Paiva. It was once considered the least polluted river in Europe and remains a spawning ground for trout. It offers opportunities for hydrospeed and other water sports.

A dam in the Estrela Mountain massif. It belongs to the Mondego river basin, at the Caldeirão Brook.

Located in the Serra de Montejunto, this town has Neolithic remains until the 12th century, and this permanence is documented with protohistoric, prehistoric and Roman remains. The old houses from the 17th to the 19th century, with exterior staircases and porched balconies, are worth a visit. In Serra de Montejunto, the ruins of a convent and the Chapel of Senhora das Neves stand out.
