This medieval oven, discovered in the 1950s, served as a communal oven, specifically for baking pottery, tiles, and other utensils. It measures approximately 1.5 meters on each side and has a grate on which the pieces to be fired were placed. The roof, made of tiles and stones, was dismantled once the firing was complete to remove the pieces.

Eighteenth-century church, consisting of a nave, chancel, false transept, choir and side chapels, attached to the convent. It was founded in 1601, by the Religious House of Santo António da Piedade by the 5th Count of Redondo, called João Coutinho. It was affected by the 1755 earthquake and the reconstruction of the building's subsection took place in 1757.

This is a Romanic church constructed on the same place where it used to be a former mediaeval necropolis. It presents a longitudinal plan composed by two juxtaposed rectangles, where it stands out on the main façade, and the doorway in round arch and the lateral doors in lancet arch. The mediaeval temple was built between the 12th and the 13th centuries.

It was the first monastery of the Cistercian Order founded in the Portuguese territory, in the 12th century, in a place with a strong monastic tradition evidenced in the monastery's invocation to Saint John, since, as a rule, the Cistercians dedicated their abbeys to the Virgin Mary. The facade of the church, rebuilt in the 17th century, retains an inscription with the date of its construction: 1152.
