Located 17 kilometers from Rio Maior, the area's main feature is its extensive valley with rock salt flats. This museum is a cultural unit of the University of Minho, which created this space with the legacy left by Dona Maria Teresa Cardeal Andrade Martins Salgueiro, who passed away on October 29, 2001. The grape harvest is one of the activities that guests can follow, as well as learn about the process of production of wine from the Douro Region.
