This garden is punctuated by beds of camellias and ornamental shrubs, and the landscaped terrace is flanked by walls. Being a private property, intended for the production of one of the region's most renowned Alvarinho wines, visits to the gardens are only possible with the owners' consent. However, the view from outside, along the farm's entrance gate, is majestic.

This castle is situated on a mound overlooking the Coa River and was one of the seven castles negotiated by Dinis in Treaty of Alcañices. It was also this monarch who delivered the letter of foral to the village and promoted the reconstruction of his Castle and Hadrian's wall. During the reign of Dom Manuel, are built several manor houses in the region, the wall was remodeled. Today, what remains of the medieval fence reduces to a door with torre and some scattered wall cloths.

The high altitude at which this castro is (1200 m) makes this area an excellent viewpoint of the region of Barroso.

Occupying a total area of 35 hectares, the Biological Park of Vila Nova de Gaia aims to be a center for environmental education, with a pedagogical purpose that involves understanding the landscape of the region and the contrast between the agroforestry landscape and the urban surroundings. Thus, the visitor can contact with hundreds of animal and plant species in the wild. It also has a recovery center for animals found injured or held in captivity illegally, and a plant nursery.

The Casa Grande museum displays collections of archaeology (from the Paleolithic to the Modern Age, with special emphasis on the Roman period), regional ethnography (agricultural tools and implements directly related to farming and objects related to breadmaking, shepherding, wine production, olive oil and almonds) and local history, through the collection of materials and documentation related to the history of the former municipal seat. It also has a section of the Casa do Moutinho.

This museum, dating from 1916, began to function on the premises of the Cathedral, and only in 1938 it moved to the Paço dos Três Escalões. Of the many pieces on display, we highlight paintings by Grão Vasco, from the Cathedral, the Episcopal Palace of Fontelo and churches and convents in the Beira region, as well as paintings by different contemporary artists. Furniture, sculptures, jewellery, Portuguese faience, textiles, oriental and archeology porcelain are also on display.

Olive oil mill, hydraulic engine Cabril which is situated next to the entrance of the village, which allowed for many years the making of olive oil from this region. Currently no longer works, either for lack of olives, or by any simpler means that do not require such large amounts. Its conservation status is not very good, but has the essential elements to be used with great accuracy and allow the recovery of tradition for filmic record.

Prehistoric grave with about 5500 years, which deserves to be visited, since it is the only dolmen in this county to possess an ochre painting, representing a Sun with seven rays. This type of art comes at a stage of regional megalithic. It consists of simple polygonal Chamber with symbolic corridor, wrapped in a TUMULUS. Highlights-the second mainstay on the north side of the Chamber, adorned by a solar motif painted in red ochre. Integrated into the Protected Archaeological Area.

Of the Romanesque construction of this important monastic church, first by the Canons Regular and later by the Dominicans, we can only point out the structure of the chancel, where the rose window stands out. All the rest of the monastic set, valuable for its artistic capital and for its local and regional influence, is the work of the Modern Period. We highlight the Baroque interventions that reveal a period of space revitalization in the 17th and 18th centuries.
