São Lourenço Bay, also known as the "Rising Sun" Bay, is a beautiful area surrounded by vineyards separated by meadows, with the blue sea as a backdrop. It belonged to the Franciscan until 1526 and to the Santo Agostinho Eremites until 1834. In the end of the XVII century and beginning of the XVIII century the convent was rebuilt. From the original plan only stands the Manueline granite portal of the main façade.

Built in 1498 according to the design of Francisco de Arruda and, later, by Afonso Álvares, Diogo Marques and Pero Vaz Pereira, who finished it in 1622. Four floors of arcades supported by buttresses cut through the main part.

Formerly a barn, this building was adapted to residence in 1770. It has two floors, the ground floor being ripped for eight Bay Windows, barred. The ground floor features a three-door and window, the main one is surmounted by a shield.
