This granite monument, shaped like a mushroom, stands over 2 meters tall. It has a peculiar morphology, resembling a mushroom, with the base narrower than the top, and the height greater. Its symbolism became an attraction, as it was customary for local girls to throw a stone at the menhir to find out if their marriage was imminent. Each lost stone represented a year of waiting. Today, it is still observed on the first Monday of Easter.

This recreational and educational center addresses the theme of the Portuguese Discoveries. Installed in an old 18th century manor house, with a Pombaline style, overlooking the riverside area of the city, it has a garden, outdoor patios and panoramic views. The Center is equipped with computers with Internet connection and free access to all visitors, and a garden with a small outdoor auditorium. The program includes lectures to disseminate and debate ideas, astronomical observations or experimental workshops, planned according to the age level of the participants, where touching is mandatory.

The small village Chapel, dedicated to our Lady of the snows, is a granite building, of rectangular plan oriented Northeast\/Southwest. The front facade has a portal with rectangular frame, flanked by two rectangular-shaped horizontal slots, surmounted by an oculus. The gable is crowned by a cross about acroterion, and the corners are topped by triangular pinnacles with ball. Inside stands the high altar in polychrome and gilded housing religious imaginary. Is celebrated in this Chapel, among others, the mass of the feast in honour of our Lady of the snows.

A neoclassicist chapel, dating back to the 18th century, with a longitudinal plan and the interior decorated with neoclassicist retables. In 1956 the main façade was covered by white and blue tiles. On the left side we can see Saint Anthony and read and inscription that says: "Fábrica do Carvalhinho" (Carvalhinho Factory) and below "Capela de Santo António do Telheiro" (Chapel of Saint Anthony of Telheiro). On the right side we can see an image of Our Lady of Fátima and an inscription that reads: "Restored in the year 1956".

Built at the beginning of the 20th century, the Faial Fortress recreates a military battery, semicircular in plan, with ten English cannons that were fired during celebrations dedicated to Our Lady of the Nativity. It has a support house where the São Roque do Faial Parish Council exhibition room is located. From this point it is possible to observe a large stretch of the coast and, on clear days, Porto Santo, Serra da Penha d'Águia and the northern part of Ponta de São Lourenço.
