Close to the Quartel das Esquadras, the Town Hall of Almeida operates in a historic and emblematic building, dating from the 18th century and which previously housed the Former Body of the Main Guard. With a Neoclassical style, it is the last military building built from scratch for military purposes in Almeida. On the main façade, the three arches framed by pilasters stand out, as well as the triangular pediment, which integrates the royal arms. These show the shield surrounded by acanthus and baroque shells, supported by warlike elements.

Ara anepígrafa in medium-to fine-grain granite, gathered near a dwelling, in the village of Penedones, during restoration. It shows traces of inscription, or because it was never recorded or why it was deleted in later reuses. A part of the forend is excavated, and it is possible that at that time has been lost to eventual epigraph. Are visible remnants of white lime around the monument and note the absence of logs and fóculo at the top, which seems to confirm their re-use. Where the medieval fortification once stood, the Sanctuary of Nossa Senhora do Castelo was installed. The chapel replaced a previous one from the 14th century. With baroque and neoclassical characteristics, this monument attracts attention due to the tower raised above the façade. Its finishes are in stonework, comprising a nave, a sacristy and a meeting room. The interior also shows an elegant chancel, whose neoclassical altarpiece in gilded and white carving rises on high steps. The interior tile panels depict episodes from the life of the Virgin.
