In this area, you should visit the Alvados and Santo António caves, where you can see stalactites and stalagmites, and the lagoon. Surrounding it are the mountains of the Serra dos Candeeiros and it lies on the slopes of the Serra de Aire. Also visit the parish church, the windmills, and the rural houses. In terms of handicrafts, cork work, lace, and embroidery stand out.

Located on the northwestern slope of the mountain range, this village preserves a large number of thatched-roofed houses made of loose stone. The 18th-century main church and the 12th-century memorial are noteworthy. Traditional costumes are still worn today.

You also have the opportunity to visit União Comercial da Beira, Lda., one of the oldest wine producers in the Dão region. In the 1980s, it acquired this farm, which boasts 30 hectares of vineyards, a modern winery, and a traditional rural house. A visit to this site allows you to learn more about winemaking and, most importantly, to better understand the famous Dão wines.

Hostels, careful presentation historical, resulting from thorough recovery of an ancient Manor House dating from the 19th century, without forgetting the necessary adjustment to the needs of this kind of spaces. Some of the interior walls are painted with frescoes and are barrel-vaulted. The restaurant works in the former balcony of the building and is recommended by the landscape and the quality of gastronomy.
