Church of revival architecture and pioneering project. Has ship only, chancel, side chapels and collaterals. The Zoomorphic gargoyles (fish, dog, Rooster, pig, Parrot and Wolf) and two gargoyles of human representation, from the early Church.

Manueline church with a longitudinal plan consisting of a single nave, a chancel taller and narrow and high and a vestry located near. It was probably built in the early 16th century, suffering reforms in the following centuries. Highlighting the pulpit, built in 1685.

The date of construction of this building is not known, however, it is known that, in 1862, was here founded the College of our Lady of Agony. After House other schools settled here the Instituto Politécnico de Viana do Castelo, which still works.

This building was opened in 1910 as the largest trade area of town. In 1949, he settled here a textile company and, in 1978, the space has been sold to a bank. In 1980, the municipality purchase the building, passing the course here several events.

It constitutes a beautiful example of early Gothic architecture, in the simplicity of the plastic lines that characterized the sobriety of the buildings occupied by the Cistercian Order, evident here in the clean and austere façade.
