A highly regarded marina, located on the Guadiana River, next to the luxury area of ​​Vila Real de Santo António. It has capacity for approximately 360 boats, a refueling area, and a workshop for repairing sails, hulls, and engines.

When it was created, in 1945, it was called “Museu de Etnografia e História do Douro Litoral”. Since that time it is placed at the Plácio de São João Novo, dated from the XVIII century. This monument has been suffering a huge degradation, being, in 1989, under the guardianship of the IPPC and, in 1991, of the IPM. Closed to the public since 1992, the IPM has being transferring its collections to various museums. Works in the façade and the coverings of the palace have being made and, after the inventory systematization, the intension is to solve the problem definitively.

A walk is always therapeutic. A good suggestion is the Jardim do Passeio Marítimo in Porto Santo, with its palm trees and stone benches and tables. It offers a magnificent view of the ocean. It has a small playground with synthetic flooring and some play equipment for children.

The Porto Planetarium sessions have a duration of approximately 40 minutes and receive 93 people under a dome of 12, 5 m in diameter. The schedule is adapted to each of the public, since the smallest to adults. The Planetarium has an auditorium, a bar and a shop with books and articles related to Astronomy.

Inaugurated in July 2008, the doors of the sea are a modern space and very excited, which resulted in the refurbishment of the seafront of Ponta Delgada.
