The SL Santa Luzia Hotel occupies the building that, since 1942, it housed the first Pousada de Portugal. The oven of the people of Walnut is a vernacular rural construction in granite, two waters, coverage in tile, and a side porch that protects a laundry of clothes. This garden dates back to the late 18th century and has three wide balconies, decorated by boxwoods. At the time when it was restored, a fountain with a central coat of arms with tiles that picture horses was added. The tile panels, of the early 20th century, are by Pereira Cão. Castle consisting of a wall with two towers and a keep. Located atop a granite outcrop overlooking the village, it dates from the 14th century. Notable features include the straight-arched loopholes, rectangular-faced merlons, and pointed-arch main gates. The walls have an irregular configuration and an exposed parapet.

This medieval cistern of wealthy proportions dating from the 14th century and is by the door of the hole. Function was to collect and store rainwater and was the main reservoir that supplied the population.
