Located on a detour from the EM567, which connects the towns of Torre do Pinhão and Barrela, the Senhor dos Aflitos Viewpoint offers spectacular views over the pristine mountains of the region, dotted with trees and granite blocks, and over the Serra do Alvão, bwing a mandatory stop on a Sunday afternoon walk through the area.

Medieval castle with a significant keep. Noteworthy in this fortification is the gate flanked by towers and a horseshoe arch made of local marble. The Torre da Cadeia and Porta Legal feature remains of Moorish architecture and Gothic tombstones commemorating the work. The structure of this church is similar to the Hermitage of s. Benedict. As is at the top of a hillock, provides a panoramic view of great quality. The renovation works are underway and is privately owned by an individual.

It is the ex-libris of the city. A masterpiece by the Tuscan architect Nicolau Nasoni, the Tower built between 1731 and 1763 is a magnificent carved stonework, 75 meters high. The 240 steps of the spiral staircase lead to a balcony located in the terminal body and from where you can enjoy rewarding views over the city and surroundings.

From Facho hill, one can enjoy a unique view of the bay of São Martinho do Porto, which is bordered by the incredible dunes of Salir do Porto. This São Martinho cove is surprising for its unusual shape.
