Legend tells of a knight who, chasing the Devil incarnate as a deer, jumped over the abyss at Lugar do Salto (Place of the Leap). Upon landing, he invoked the name of Our Lady, and miraculously, horse and rider landed safely on the other bank, where the horse's hoofprints can still be seen today. Second Order Franciscan Convent - Poor Clares. Rectangular in plan, it comprises a chancel, sacristy and cloister. Its collection is vast and includes interior chapels and altars built by the nuns and mural paintings, among other remains. Today it functions as a foundation and the premises serve as an inn.

This was the convent of the order of Saint Paul Hermit and was built following the 16th-century urban expansion. It was composed by Church, chancel, cruise, sacristy and cloister. In the 20th century was adapted in order to make way for an oil refining factory. Today is privately owned and is in a poor state of conservation.
