A gastronomia servida no restaurante Gestur, em Mangualde, é típica, regional, e conta uma história, a da terra, através da mesa. Rojões com morcela à Beirão, Cabrito assado no barro preto à pastor da Serra, e vitelinha na púcara de barro à jardineiro de Cubos são pratos a não perder. A refeição só termina com as receitas doces locais: o leite-creme à tia Albertina, o arroz doce à tia Micas, ou o tradicional requeijão com doce de abóbora.

O Restaurante O Brasão, em Belmonte, fica mesmo no centro da localidade, numa antiga casa de pedra. Decorada com detalhes requintados, preserva a história da região nas paredes e nas propostas gastronómicas que apresenta regularmente na carta. Todos os dias apresenta como entrada um prato de queijo da região e uma selecção de enchidos grelhados, que abrem caminho a sugestões como a feijoca à manteigas, só por encomenda ou ao javali à caçador. Prove ainda as trutas recheadas com presunto.

This environmental interpretation centre is coordinated by the Portuguese society for the study of birds, along with the Regional Secretariat of the environment and the sea and the Regional Direction of forest resources. Its main objective is to preserve their habitat: the Laurissilva forest. The name of the Centre-Priolo-is a reference to the second most endangered bird in Europe, existing only to the East of the island of São Miguel.
