This monument was restored in 1916. With a civil architecture, from the seventeen hundreds, São Miguel do Outeiro pillory lays in a platform with three steps with prominent ledge, monolithic and prismatic column with three frames overlapped. It also has an octagonal capital composed by several frames arranged by degrees in increasing surfaces and finished in orb.

Originally this stone column was about 30 metres high and 3 metres of diameter, but in 1939 it was put down to built the present Avenida do Mar. In 1987 it was partially rebuilt with some of the original stones, not far from the place where it used to be. Its name is due to the responsible of the construction, the English John Light Banger.

It is the ex-libris of the city. A masterpiece by the Tuscan architect Nicolau Nasoni, the Tower built between 1731 and 1763 is a magnificent carved stonework, 75 meters high. The 240 steps of the spiral staircase lead to a balcony located in the terminal body and from where you can enjoy rewarding views over the city and surroundings.

Rural villa dating from the 4th century, featuring civil, private and Roman architecture. It has a notable living area, both in terms of spatial organization and decoration. Several archaeological campaigns uncovered the residential part, with complete mosaics and an octagonal peristyle. In 1988, what was believed to be the thermal block of this important villa was discovered.

Roman ruins located at the foot of Monte da Senhora do Castelo, an old fortified castro from the Iron Age. The archaeological structures that are uncovered constitute an inn, what the Romans called "mansio". It sheltered and welcomed passers-by who traveled throughout the empire and rested there, enjoying a relaxing bath in its private spa.

Fragment of the grave carved in a granite block anthropomorphic and incorporated into the wall of a property. Presents an area of the head and shoulders well laid out and the beginning of the body lowered, with about one metre long. It is an isolated finding, not far from the Valley of St. Stephen 's, where they were found several bricks and anthropomorphic sarcophagus.

The ants consist of eight islets, located about 37 km from the coast of the island of Santa Maria. Is classified as a nature reserve due to the diversity and richness of its underwater fauna. It is also known for being a place of retreat and nesting seabirds, as well as for being a place of reproduction and feeding of sharks, turtles and several cetaceans.

Located by the beach, the Melides Lagoon spreads inland through several miles of rice fields and has a sand cliff to the north. It is a quiet and peaceful place, located about 200 metres away from the shoreline. Several species of birds inhabit it, namely the little egret, the purple heron and the sandwich tern. There is a camping nearby.

Hidden beach at the bottom of cliffs, whose access is possible only by dirt tracks, without indications. From this beach, the cliffs are no longer in light shades, such as those that characterize much of the Algarve coast, to become dark. There are parts of the beach that disappear when the tide comes in. As the sea is wavy, it is customary to see if surfers around here.
