The House is situated on Sources spa town of Pedras Salgadas and offers ideal conditions for stays of holidays and events, enjoying nature, architecture and cuisine typical of the region. A grand house commissioned in the early 19th century, only completed almost thirty years later. It features an L-shaped floor plan, with two large facades and two turrets topped by balustrades and pinnacles. Inside, the rooms boast neoclassical décor. The palace, despite being on private property dedicated to the production of one of the region's most renowned Alvarinho wines, is open to visitors.

The Convent of San Payo was founded by the Franciscan friar, Gonçalo Marinho, in 1932.
