Built in the 18th century, with designs by Nicolau Nasoni, the Casa de Mateus is a landmark of Portuguese Baroque. The chapel, on the other hand, was designed by the master José Álvaro Rego. Established in 1970 by D. Francisco de Sousa Botelho de Albuquerque, its objectives are the preservation of the house, the study of its archives, and the promotion of cultural, scientific, and educational activities. The activities developed by this foundation are mainly linked to literature and music. The gardens found here are extremely well-preserved and of rare beauty. Celorico de Basto Station is the central hub of the Tâmega Line Ecopista. Here, you can visit an interpretive center and learn about the history of the Tâmega Line. Built on the canal of the decommissioned railway line, it is intended for pedestrians and cyclists.

This company, established in 1993, promotes tours in typical craft like the Moliceiros and the salt shakers, and even in boats, the wide panoramic area of the Ria de Aveiro. There is also a panoramic bus for those who prefer to discover the city by land.

A circular walking trail of approximately seven kilometers, the Burga Dam is the landmark, passing alongside it first and enjoying distant views throughout. The trail climbs the slopes of the Serra de Bornes to Monte do Carvalhal, then passes through Colmeais.

Along this water-course there are several places where you can see the harbour, the bay, the Funchal amphitheatre and the modern bridge over Ribeira de João Gomes. This track, ideal to discover nature, was recovered by the town council of Funchal.

One of the streets that leads to Caminha's central square is the Ricardo Joaquim de Sousa Street. Ot has narrow streets, artistic facades and nice balconies. It is also the most lively part of town in the evening, specially during the summer.

This trail begins at the Windfarm of serra do Topo, descends to the Boiler from above and then to the Caldeira de Santo Cristo, place of great cultural and scenic interest. Ends in Fajã dos Cubres. Be sure to observe the SWR to transport firewood.

Small circular route beginning and ending in Lombega. The main point of interest is the Morro de Castelo Branco, a trachyte promontory where there is an enormous diversity of rare plants and animals. This route passes in an area classified as a site of Community interest.

This pedestrian trail starts and ends near the miradouro da Fajã de Lopo Vaz. In your course we found a source of drinking water, a beach, small farmland and some wild goats. Crosses a Special Protection zone.
