Village with rural and wine-growing characteristics, with the production of generous wine. The current heritage includes the pillory, the fountain, the 18th century church, the hermitage of Santa Marinha, the Luso-Roman cemetery in Quinta da Relva and several manor houses, namely: Calçada, Fojo, Fundo da Vila, Praça and Santa.

Located in a valley adjacent to the Serra dos Candeeiros, it is bathed by a stream that originates in the picturesque site of Olhos de Água. Here, you'll find beautiful natural caves and rooms with stalactites, calcite crystals, and remains of bones. Among the architectural heritage, a megalithic dolmen (Property of Public Interest) attached to the church stands out, containing a fifteenth-century sculpture, and traces of Roman times, evident in the ruins of a communal oven.

Located about twenty kilometers from Terras de Bouro, in the southernmost area of ​​the Serra do Gerês mountain range, the Arado Waterfall is part of a beautiful collection of waterfalls and numerous streams that dot the Peneda-Gerês National Park. It differs from many others due to the cascading water in consecutive steps. It is accessible by road (Nogueira/Portela do Vade) which is about seven kilometers from the waterfall.
