Former Jesuit College consisting of a simple rectangular plan, developed around two cloisters, with emphasis in the Church Centre. The College was founded in the 18th century and, in 1839, d. Maria II installed here the Court and jail. In the 20th century was also installed at City Hall.

Frei Agostinho da Cruz and Diogo Bernardes were brothers born in the municipality of Ponte da Barca. Portuguese poet and Friar Agostinho pepper, nicknamed the name Agostinho da Cruz, wrote Elegies and sonnets. Diogo Bernardes, known as the poet of Lima, had a special predilection for rivers, to describe the melancholy of Minho scenery.

Housed in a building that once served as the Town Hall and Municipal Jail, but was destroyed by fire and restored for museum purposes, the Venda Nova Interpretation Centre aims to present monographic exhibitions that study and disseminate the heritage of the municipality, such as the Flax Cycle or the Coats of Arms of the municipality of Ribeira de Pena.

The square has strong connections with the Discoveries, this was the former sand-pit where the Real cais de Belém used to anchor. Convent founded by D. Afonso V, its current appearance is the result of the various modifications it has undergone. It has a Gothic portal, which includes bas-reliefs in a flamboyant style. The cloister mixes Gothic and Manueline elements, the pulpit is Mannerist and the altarpieces are Baroque in style. The space around the convent fence stands out, given the botanical value of its forest.

It is also known as independence Palace. Is a valuable copy of the seventeenth-century civil architecture, with 16th century roots, in which stands out the gate, South facade, framed and superimposed a balcony of balusters to guarnecerem the central window, overmatched by the arms of Almada. Inside are two patios, with 16th century portals, taking the bottom two chimneys also 16th century.

The longitudinal nave is divided into three sections, from which the transept arms and the two towers of the façade stand out. The façade is imposing, marked by two symmetrical lateral bell towers. The nave has a full-round vault roof, and lighting is provided by the nave's large windows. The church's entrance portal, dating from 1755, is a meticulous Rococo piece.
