The ancient residence of the Counts of Guarda currently houses the Town Council of Cascais. In the façade one can admire a rare tile frieze that pictures Saint Sebastian, Saint Anthony, Saint Marçal, Saint Mathew, Saint Marc, Saint Jeronimus, Saint Luke and Saint John. A special note to the themed tile panels that exist in the Sessions Room.

The Maia Zoo was created in 1985 and aims to be a center for research, preservation, and dissemination of information about species, especially among schools. The More Club occupies, since July 2010, a listed building downtown Porto. The Old School House, in Vila Viçosa, is a 16TH century manor, purchased in 1602 by Dom Teodósio II, Duke of Braganza. It was the first home of the society of Jesus in Vila Viçosa.
