It is a large fortified town dating from the iron age\/Roman times with occupation in the middle ages. The houses feature a round plant, some with separate foyer and lajeadas streets. There are five lines of ramparts, reinforced by the rising side by turrets arranged in accordance with the terrain or accidents where the need for defence to that required. It is also known as Monte do Castelo de Neiva.

The Prelada House, whose author is Nicolau Nasoni, consisting of three bodies united but with different heights in each tower. The balconies and windows are made of worked granite stone. It is a XVII century garden gate that gives access to the farm. There you’ll find imposing secular trees and a box labyrinth, a plant that offers a hard wood, also known as buxeiro and buxeira.

A manor house characterized by its arcaded structure, supporting a first floor with a colonnaded balcony, connected to a unique and monumental chimney. It features an attached chapel with a single nave and a chancel. Notable are the frescoes of perspective architecture on the vault and Rococo carving elements with fine scrolls, plant bands, and floral garlands in the chapel. Currently, the Municipal Library is located on the first floor.

Chapel dating from the 16TH century or 17TH CENTURY, with a main facade gable is terminated, at the top, with an ornate Bell with a small cross. Also features a straight Dick portal, flanked by a gap where a niche that houses a sculpture of Santa Ana, San Joaquin and our Lady Girl. Inside stands a gilded altarpiece, framed by two Solomonic columns.
