The Roman temple of Diana is the true landmark of the city of Évora. It is composed of 14 granite columns, with bases and capitals made of Estremoz marble. It was erected in the 1st century, during the time of Augustus, and destroyed during the 5th century, during the barbarian invasions. However, its ruins continued to be used over time.

Temple from the 13th century. It appears to have been part of a Convent of Benedicts, still in the period when the town was called Nabância. It was rebuilt by D.
